#1. District 2, Thao Dien Vietnamese Steak BO NE NANO Review
BO NE NANO, a Vietnamese steak restaurant, is located in a corner of Thao Dien in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. This restaurant is popular with locals living nearby rather than foreigners, as it offers Vietnamese steak Bo Ne, Banh Canh Cua, and Bo Kho at affordable prices.
It's a small, casual restaurant with tables both indoors and outdoors. I visited on a Wednesday evening to dine alone and sat at a table in a corner outside.
Since they were selling several Vietnamese food, including Bo Ne, there were various condiments on the table, such as soy sauce, chili sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper. There were also cutlery holders, toothpicks, and wet wipes.
The drinks menu was even more varied than the food menu, with coffee, juice, smoothies, yogurt, beer, and soda. Unfortunately, they didn't sell any zero drinks. I wanted a zero drink, but I had no choice, so ordered Pepsi.
I ordered Beef Steak(Bo Ne) No. 12. No. 12 is the restaurant's most expensive menu, consisting of beef, eggs, sausage, pate, cheese, and meatball, served with a baguette. After I ordered, the owner started preparing the food, and perhaps because of its simple preparation, it arrived quickly.
Beef, sausage, pate, cheese, and eggs were placed on a hot iron plate. The taste was okay for the cheap price. Since all the ingredients are cheap, you shouldn't expect much flavor.
A big meatball came in a small bowl, and it seemed to have been pre-made and microwaved. It was edible, but I don't think it was worth ordering.
I tore the baguette and piled various ingredients on top. It tasted surprisingly good. Topped with sweet and spicy seasoned beef, cheese, and sausage, it exceeded my expectations. The portion was generous, enough for one meal.
I was quietly eating alone in a corner when a cat, either the restaurant's own or a stray, approached me and pretended to be friendly. It seemed like a nice place for cat lovers to visit and enjoy a meal with a cat.

BO NE NANO, a Vietnamese steak restaurants, specializes in Bo Ne(a Vietnamese steak) and also serves several other Vietnamese food, including Banh Canh Cua and Bo Kho. Located in Thao Dien, District 2, known for its high prices, BO NE NANO offers local food at prices comparable to other areas, making it a popular choice for locals living nearby.
I visited for dinner alone on a Wednesday evening and ordered as follows:
Beef Steak(Bo Ne) No. 12: 115,000VND
Pepsi: 15,000VND
Wet Wipe: 2,000VND
I was able to have a filling and decent meal for the low price of 132,000VND. While BO NE NANO may not be particularly outstanding compared to other Vietnamese steak restaurants, the fact that you can enjoy this amount of local food at this price in Thao Dien, a area with high prices, is a significant merit.
